COLUMN: WHERE IN THE WORLD IS CARMEN DOMINGUEZ? Congratulations! You have been hired through the world renown Acme Scouting Agency for an important assignment as the brand new assistant third base coach to help the Virginia Flames score more runs. The objective of this game is to outsmart opponents by making the right call for each at bat (i.e., correctly answering the questions below), and by doing so enable Carmen Dominguez, 2006 NWB Hall of Famer of the Flames, to safely hit and run to reach homeplate. All questions concern NWB Hall of Famers derived from prior issues of Fame Forum posted on our website. Website: http://www.eteamz.com/hallfame/handouts Certain questions are easy while others may require more information to respond. In addition to internet access, you'll need a reconditioned Geochronoskimmer and baseball cap. A uniform and cleats are optional. In this game, Carmen is always at bat. If a question is answered correctly, a run is scored, but if missed it is an out. There are three outs per inning, and three innings per game (use a scorecard like this). ============================ Inning 1 2 3 Total ---------------------------- Carmen Runs: [ ] [ ] [ ] [ ] Outs: [ ] [ ] [ ] ============================ Below each question is its answer; scroll down the page carefully, and then you will know the result, --run or out. Peeking is not permitted! Here we go, the first question should be an easy run. Carmen as the lead-off batter is ready for your call. 01.
