Welcome Parents, Players, Coaches, and Volunteers to the Hopkins Area Little League Web site. Hopkins Area Little League prides itself on teaching sportsmanship, teamwork, and baseball skills in a safe and enjoyable environment. We offer official Little League baseball at the beautiful Maetzold baseball facility, located in the heart of Hopkins, just 1 block north of Main Street. With nearly 400 boys and girls participating from 7 area schools, your children will probably see some old friends, meet new friends and enjoy developing their baseball skills with H.A.L.L. HALL Receives Large Grant for Maetzold Improvements



Hopkins Area Little League recently received a $150,000 Youth Sports Program Spending Facilities Grant from Hennepin County. This grant will be used to convert an existing softball field at Maetzold into a little league only field.

In addition, along with the honor of being named the 2011 National Safety Award winner, HALL will receive a $55,000 lighting system, to be installed on the new little league field at Maetzold.

Hopkins Area Little League Wins 2011 National Safety Award



Hopkins Area Little League named winner of the 2011 ASAP award (A Safety Awareness Program)!

ASAP encourages Little League volunteers to submit details of successful safety programs that have been adopted in their league so ideas can be shared nationwide. The program enables local leagues to share concepts and methods of addressing safety issues and providing possible solutions to safety concerns. Since the inception of the ASAP program, the number of injuries reported has been reduced by 75 percent.

Board Members Needed

It takes a lot of dedicated parents to make HALL one of the greatest parts of your childs summer. Each year we have a normal amount of turnover on our board as kids/families move on. HALL is again looking to fill several open board positions. Fundraising, Player Develoment, Division Coordinators, Equipment, Registration and a few others are all areas where we could use some more help. If you are interested, please contact Paul to find a place you can plug in.
