Welcome to the official website of the 2009 Halifax Youth Baseball (HYB) program. It is our intention to utilize the HYB website to communicate on a regular basis to our coaches, players and parents during the year.
The principle goal of Halifax Youth Baseball is to provide the youth of Halifax the opportunity to have fun playing the sport of baseball. Good sportsmanship, exercise and skill development in baseball are other goals of HYB. HYB is affiliated with Cal Ripken Baseball (a division of Babe Ruth Baseball), for our players ages 5-12. HYB is affiliated with Babe Ruth Baseball, for players ages 13-15 in association with Kingston Youth Baseball & Softball League (KYBSL).
We look forward to another outstanding baseball season. Opening Day (April 26th) is only a few months away so continue to check this website for updates as coaches, players and teams begin preparations for the 2009 season.

Congratulations to our 10 year old All Stars for winning the District 6 Championship!!! They will move onto the state tournament in Tyngsboro starting next week. Good luck!!!

Halifax Will be Hosting the 2009 12 Year Old Cal Ripken District 6 Tournament Begining July 1st.
In the "Handouts" section of the website you will find directions to the fields, tournament seeding bracket and important contact infomation. All of these files are available to be downloaded and are printer friendly.

Note to all current and new HYB coaches: Beginning this season our chartering organization (Cal Ripken/Babe Ruth Baseball) is requiring all coaches successfully complete the Cal Ripken coaching certification test. The cost of the test is $19.95 and will be refunded by HYB once successfully completed. Please follow this link to the test webpage.
