GYST NEWSFLASH!!!! 

Our swimming community has a great opportunity to participate in an elite video clinic this summer.  This video-taping session has been pioneered by Dr. Genadijus.  He has worked with many elite swimmers.  He has developed a program that measures a swimmer’s velocity in real time as the video of the swimmer plays.  Thus we can see specifically what parts of each stroke are working or not working.  This is a great way for swimmers to actually see what needs work.  As part of the package, each video is sent to Dr. G for analysis.  He writes up a detailed report for each stroke, and suggests specific drills and techniques for each swimmer to work on.  A good friend of our team, Brian Cunningham, will conduct the video sessions, and offer his expert advice to the swimmers on the day of taping.  When Dr. G has completed his report, each swimmer receives her/his video along with the written report for their continued review.

This system has been available at National meets and training camps, but this is the first time it has been offered in the Midwest.  This is a great opportunity for Wisconsin swimmers to get a leg up on the competition!  The session is open to Club, Masters, and anyone else that wants to improve their swimming.  Triathletes—this is perfect for you. Each stroke is taped with a: pull, kick, and full stroke.  The cost will be $75.00 for the first stroke and $25 for each additional stroke (2 strokes = $100, 3 strokes = $125, 4 strokes =$150).  We hope to schedule a taping session for late June.  We need to determine the level of interest before Dr. G will ship all the necessary equipment to Lake Geneva.  Please let Frank know if you are seriously interested in participating in this great opportunity.  We need a fair amount of interest in order to make this fly.

This really is an advanced technology that has come our way.  Brian has developed a relationship with Dr. G, and he is the only person in the Midwest that can offer this service.  We are excited about this, and would very much like to hear from you.  Please let me know if you are interested ASAP.  The equipment is in great demand, and we need to reserve it as quickly as possible.
