GYAA mourns the passing of Charlie Green Sr., Dixie Youth Baseball State Director

Our deepest sympathies go out to Mr. Green's family. 

GREEN, Sr., Charles Dallas 63, of Powhatan, died October 2, 2009.  He is survived by his wife, Jean M. Green; two sons and their wives, Charles, Jr. and Michele Green, Jason and Tiffany Green; daughter-in-law, Karen Green, mother, Marian S. Green; brother, Larry Green; sister, Darlene Middleton, all of Powhatan; four grandchildren, Chaytor and Ty Green, Jessica and Justin Agcaoili and many other family members. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Green, Jr.; two sons, Joseph Nowlin Green and Robbie E. Green.  The family will receive friends Saturday October 3 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 pm at the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home, 3215 Anderson Hwy. (Rt. 60), Powhatan.  Funeral services will be held Sunday 2 pm at Powhatan High School.  Interment Red Lane Baptist Church Cemetery, Powhatan.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may to be made to Dixie Youth Scholarship Fund or Powhatan Youth Athletic Association.
