GYAA Belles Softball Team Heads to State!!!!

Congratulations to our Dixie Belles District V Champions.  Goochland competed in the District All-Star Tournament held in Buckingham on June 25-29. Players on the team include:  Ciera Cannizzarro,
catcher,  Alexa Condrey, Kimberly Duty, pitcher and 3B, Quinn Duty, pitcher & CF,  Katelyn Jones, pitcher and LF, Katelyn Lambert, pitcher & 1B, Taylor Scruggs, 2B, Morgan Hawkins, SS, Mackenzie Jones, RF, Lauren Underwood, CF, Abby Jones, and Kimmie Hawk.  The core of this team traveled to states in 2007, and have had a taste of this success, so they are ready to compete again at that level.

The team is very deep in pitching and the defense has played together for many years.  The most impressive, however is the offensive lineup that is strong from top to bottom. In five games, they scored 70 runs and only allowed 4.  The 13-15 year old girls will head to Botetourt on July 17 to compete in the Dixie State Tournament.  They are coached by:  Paul Duty, Brad Duty, and Alex Condrey.
