Erin Shamrocks  ERIN SHAMROCKS VS MIDLAND FLYERS MIDLAND FLYERS

Grand Valley Community Centre

Sunday November 6, 2011 at 4:00 pm

A big thank you to all those who came out and cheer on 4 former Grand Valley players and their Junior "C" Team, the Erin Shamrocks, as they hosted the Midland Junior "C" Flyers

The Grand Valley Alumni Players are: Billy Hostrawser, Neil Kwast, Josh Sguigna and Cody Wright.

After the first period our Tyke 1 vs Tyke 2 in a 5 minute scrimmage, much to the kids surprise, the got a little help from Josh, Cody and Billy, who joined them on the ice. It was lots of fun to watch those little guys out there with the big guys who all started the very same way.

Good game

Boy who got his start in Grand Valley Playing D1 Hockey with St. Lawrence University
Jeremy played tyke and novice hockey in Grand Valley before jumping to AAA where he developed into a leader playing 8 years for Halton Hurricanes.
Jeremy then moved onto Junior Hockey playing a year for Orangeville Crushers Provincial junior A. A trade sent him to Georgetown Raiders where he played 3 years  and finished his junior career as the top scorer on the team and 15th in the league.
A D1 hockey scholarship came his way from St Lawrence University, who play in the ECAC  Ivy league.
Jeremy is known for his physical play which is the base of his skill which I believe continued to open the doors of opportunity for him .
Jeremy hopes to play semi pro in Europe after his college hockey ends.

Tony and Sylvia Wick are long time residents of the area
