Grand Valley is a small community of 1600 located on the banks of the Grand River, on Dufferin Road 25,  5 minutes north of Dufferin Road 9.  Grand Valley & District Minor Hockey Association provides hockey to players in the town and immediate surrounding area. We offer hockey for players 4 to 17 years, in divisions Mite to Midget. Our centre is classed as a ‘D’ centre with our registration averaging 120 players a year. As a member of the OMHA we support the Initiation Program for the beginners, OMHA competitive teams from Novice to Midget, and local league teams where numbers permit.  More.

There is nothing better than watching a Twister team play, for they all have commonality in their drive and determination. Always humble victors, gracious in defeat, playing with heart, having fun and loving the game above the prize. Come out to a game or two and see for yourself!

All of the above fees are in addition to fundraising fee, raffle ticket and AGM fees. 

 Some financial assistance may be available through KIDSPORT.

The season is over now for our Twister athletes and each level had their own degree of success.  Many individuals were recognized for their achievements at the Recognition Day.  We look forward to next season and hope to see many new faces along with our returning players.

Plan on attending the Annual General Membership Meeting on Tuesday, April 16, 2013.

Stay informed with issues in your hockey organization, review financial reports, elect your new executive board and be actively involved in your hometown hockey.  Plus, you receive your $20.00 AGM fee back!

Meeting is held on Tuesday, April 16, 2013 in the Boardroom at Grand Valley Community Centre, commencing at 7:30 pm. 

Grand Valley and District Minor Hockey executive committee would like to extend a huge THANK YOU to several people that have really stepped up and taken the initiative to increase fundraising to help keep costs down this year.

 TwisterWear,  organized by Tara Leskey and Susan Penfold raised $1300.  A huge thank you as well to Charmaine Marshall and Archbolds Custom Shoppe for their partnership in this endeavour.

Dwayne and Pam Wheeler and Darryl Bell organized a Sno Pitch Tournament held in early December and depsite rather crummy weather, still raised over $800.

 Darlene Shaw, a hockey parent and local Regal Sales Representative organized a Regal Fundraiser that raised over $100.

Jeff Norwich of Poker Pigs donated $2200 after hosting a poker tournament in support of Minor Hockey in November.  Jeff is organizing another tournament on March 9, 2013.

Keep the new and innovative ideas coming folks!  The more hands we have helping out, the more benefits to our children.

Bring your sweetheart out for a night of dancing and fun to help support Grand Valley Minor Hockey.
