The first parent and wrestler meeting will be on Thursday, Oct. 30 at Walkersville High School, 7:00PM.  We will go over practice schedules and essential information for the wrestling season.  We will meet near the far entrance of the gym where the wrestling room is located (side parking lot).  There will be a shoe exchange at the meeting for those interested, otherwise, shoes need to be purchased by Nov. 6th.  If you have not registered yet, you may attend this meeting and register that evening. 

 The first practice will be on November 6th at 6:00 PM at WHS.

GVAA Wrestling registration for 2008-2009 will close as of November 1, 2008.  The walk-in registration period has expired, although you may still register via mail.  Download the registration form on this site, complete the form, send a birth certificate copy, two checks payable to GVAA (one for $90 per registration; 2nd for $50 uniform deposit per registration) to the following address:

Requirements:

Wrestlers must be above 36 pounds and under age 15 as of December 31, 2008. 

Parents are expected to particpate in a holiday poinsettia fundraiser, help with two home matches and a tournament (concessions, mat tables, etc.).

What is included in payment?

The $90 registration fee pays for shorts, t-shirt, sweats, tournament fees and banquet cost for the wrestler.
