Jeff Buckner, Head Coach
A graduate of Gordon Technical High School in Chicago (’89) and Indiana University (’94), Coach Buckner enters his 7th season leading the Golden Eagles and 9th overall as a head coach. After spending eight years as an assistant and head coach at Speedway High School, one of those seasons ending as state runner-up, Coach Buckner became the head coach of the Golden Eagle Baseball Program in its first ever varsity season (2007). Coach Buckner is serving his calling as an educator and coach as he currently teaches Language Arts at Guerin Catholic. Coach Buckner has also served as the Golden Eagle Women’s Basketball head coach (2007-2010), and as Defensive Coordinator and assistant coach for the Football program (2004-2010).
Mitch Dailey, Ass't Coach
A graduate of Guerin Catholic High School ('09), Mitch was one of the pioneers of the Golden Eagle baseball program and enters his 2nd year as a coach. Coach Dailey played for Cornell College (IA) for two years before transferring to Franklin College where he is currently studying. Coach Dailey brings college experience and a strong desire to improve on the Guerin Catholic way.
Zach Haselhorst, Ass't Coach
A
graduate of Noblesville High School (’07) and Purdue University (’12), Coach
Haselhorst enters his 1st season as the program’s pitching
coordinator. He began his coaching
career very early as a volunteer assistant at Noblesville High School, where he
previously lettered in both baseball and football. At Purdue Coach Haselhorst
majored in both Political Science and Social Studies Education and is now
serving his calling as an educator as he currently teaches U.S. & World History
along with Psychology.
Gregg Neidlinger, JV Head Coach
A graduate of Scecina Memorial High School ('79) and Indiana State University ('83), Coach Neidlinger has been the JV coach since 2008. He comes from an extensive coaching family and brings a tremendous knowledge base and a relentless work ethic to the development of not only the younger athletes, but to the entire Golden Eagle Baseball Program. A travel baseball coach for several years, Coach Neidlinger epitomizes what it means to be a coach.
