REMEMBER TO BE A GOOD SPORT
During the course of a heated softball tournament, the coach felt the need to remind one of his players about the importance of team play and good sportsmanship. The coach asked the player if she knew and remembered what good sportsmanship was. The player replied yes. The coach then asked her if she knew that you shouldn't yell at the umpire or throw things in anger. The player again replied yes. "Good," said the coach, "now could you please go tell your mother."

Did You Hear the one about........
One Day the Devil challenged the Lord to a baseball game. Smiling the Lord proclaimed, "You don't have a chance, I have Babe Ruth, Mickey Mantle, and all the greatest players up here". "Yes", snickered the devil, "but I have all the umpires."

Night Game!
On late spring evening at WHS, a GROWS softball player was playing deep right field when a long fly ball came right to her. But, it was so dark that the outfielder could not see the ball. Just then a rabbit ran onto the field and the right fielder mistakenly picked up the animal and threw it to first. The batter was Out by a hare!
Running The Bases
What takes longer, running from first base to second, or from second to third? Second to third, because you have to go through a shortstop.
