"The price of success is hard work, dedication to the job at hand, and the determination that whether we win or lose, we have applied the best of ourselves to the task at hand." ~ Vince Lombardi Birmingham Groves Falcons Groves Football - Philosophy and Mission Statement Our philosophy is more than just words and statements put down on paper. Our philosophy will always be a plan of action working in combination with a set of core values that represents how we do things within Groves Football. More important than building a single championship team is the constant development of the total program. This constant attention to detail to the entire program will not only allow us to compete for championships, but also help us achieve our true mission of transforming boys into men. Plan of Action 1.) Build a " Football Family" that focuses on the development of strong personal relationships based on trust, caring, and commitment with everyone involved in the program. 2.) We must maximize the talent of our players. This is done with a relentless effort by coaches and players alike. We must always take full advantage of the opportunities and resources available to us at this school. 3.) We must always represent the school with pride and class. We are constantly being evaluated on the field, in the classroom, and in the community. It is our duty to each other to make good decisions and be accountable for our actions. Relationships Anytime you enter into a relationship with someone, there are three key questions that both parties ask about the other. 1.) Can I trust you? 2.) Are you committed to excellence 3.) Do you care about me? In order for this relationship to grow and flourish, people must be able to answer, "YES". We must have people in our program that can answer "Yes to these pertinent questions.
