"THE GRID IRON CLUB"
The Allegany Grid Iron Club welcomes you to their web site. This club's main purpose is to support the Allegany Football team. With that it takes lots of work and support from people like you, the fan, the parent or anyone else that is interested in supporting the most winning high school football program in the State of Maryland.
The Grid Iron Club is the cog behind the wheel of fund raising and support for the football team and its activities. We need your help with all our activities and fund raising throughout the year. We welcome you, your suggestions, ideas and help with our passion to make this program the best it can be. Our dues are simply $5.00 per year, but the rewards are priceless.
So come on out and help us out. You won't regret it!

The primary mission of this organization is to provide financial assistance and manpower to the entire football program of Allegany High School where this organization deems necessary; to support staff; athletes, and opponents as ambassadors of Allegany Football.

The 2009-2010 Election of Officers was held January 21, 2009. New Officers shall assume the duties of their office and serve for a term of one (1) year beginning February 1st or until their successors are elected. Newly elected officers for the upcoming season are;
- Teresa Fadley President
- Terri McCagh 1st Vice President
- Debbie Hook 2nd Vice President
- Bill Shaffer Treasurer
- Jeannie Flanagan Secretary
The Allegany Gridiron Club is an organization with it's own by-laws. The current administration is committed to making sure that the by-laws that were imposed by the founders of the organization, are followed by it's members. Situations that are not covered in our by-laws, Roberts Rules of Order shall be followed.
Friday, February 13
The first meeting of the newly elected officers took place February 11, 2009 in the library of AHS. I would like to take a moment to thank all of the upcoming freshman parents for taking the time to attend our meeting. A special tour of our facilities, meeting the officers, coaches and refreshments will be scheduled for the spring. Please keep checking this site for updates concerning this date.
Also, a big 'thanks' goes out to those who volunteered for the various committees. We value your interest and committment to the cause. This time of year we usually lose the committment of the Varsity parents. What better time for the 'new' parents to get involved. Right from the ground up! You're right there helping to make the tough decisions from the beginning. See you at the next meeting!
