A Little About Us and Our Students!
JIM GREINER
Jim Greiner is a pitching instructor and softball clinician based in the St. Louis, Missouri area and is Owner/Operator of GREINER FASTPITCH. 20+ years ago he was coaching a youth select team and playing Men's fastpitch and everyone kept telling him that he should be giving pitching lessons and share his knowledge with some of the girls in the area. He listened and 6 years later it became his full time job.
He has since instructed at and conducted numerous camps and clinics around the country including the University of Missouri Tiger Softball camps and clinics and NFCA recruiting camps. He has also coached at 3 colleges and continues to be a pitching/recruiting consultant to 1 College. He has also coached many select fastpitch teams over the years that have qualified for and won ASA, NSA, USSSA, AFA and USFA National Championship Tournaments.
In those 19+ years of instruction nearly all of his students (142 AND COUNTING!) have gotten college scholarships. He has been blessed with many outstanding athletes to work with who have achieved all-state selections in Missouri, Illinois, Kansas, Texas, and Montana and been named All-Americans in College. He has also had the pleasure to work with one young lady, Amy Harre, who made it all the way to Team USA and the Chicago Bandits (and now Philadelphi Force) of the NPF and has played in Italy and Australia and now the Netherlands. She is considered to be one of the hardest throwers in the world!
ASHLEY KATINAS
Ashley is a pitching instructor and softball clinician based in the St. Louis area. She began taking lessons at GREINER FASTPITCH at the age of 10.
Ashley was a Four-year letterwinner at Marquette High School. She was named All-State, All-Region and All-Conference and Player of the Year in 2003 Missouri High School softball before taking her softball talents to Middle Tennessee State University. She also played select ball for Marauders-Katinas and Chaos-Conway.
Ashley's enthusiasm, pitching ability, intensity and experience make her a great instructor and mentor for the younger girls and we are very excited to have her instruct at St. Louis Baseball and Fastpitch Academy and GREINER FASTPITCH.
OUR MISSION!
We will help each girl that comes through our program to meet and/or exceed her goals in the sport of Fastpitch Softball!
OUR PROGRAM
We teach mechanics and power first through a proven system of drills and repetition, videotape analysis, and strength training. WE MOTIVATE!
We give semi-private lessons (2 girls at a time). We feel that in a group lesson format that the student is being ignored from time to time so unlike our competitors we worry about our kids getting the proper amount of attention and instruction.
We continue to have a strong working relationship with college coaches around the country and try to develop new relationships with those coaches to give our students more opportunities for college scholarships and a college education.
