ALL LITTLE LEAGUE FACILITIES ARE MAINTAINED BY THE GREENVILLE RECREATION AND PARKS DEPARTMENT.
Elm Street Park is the crown jewel of Greenville Little Leagues' baseball. Opening on May 23, 1951 as Greenville's original Little League field, Elm Street Park is the permanent home to the Greenville Little Leagues City Championship Series. Elm Street Park was nearly destroyed by the floodwaters of Hurricane Floyd of September of 1999. This event, however, represented a rebirth of the ballpark, and it is now better than ever. On Halloween weekend of 1999 Diamond Pro and Chris Ball arrived on the scene with an army of volunteer workers and rebuilt the field in one long weekend. As they left town they asked the Greenville Little Leagues to try and maintain the field as they had left it. Their expectations were exceeded. Elm Street Park is now a championship caliber field and the premier Little League field in North Carolina. Elm Street Park has an infield of 419 Bermuda grass and an outfield of common bermuda grass. The infield is mowed 4-6 times a week and maintained at a height of 1 inch. The outfield is kept at a height of 1.5 inches. Brickdust walkways lead the way up to home plate and the infield clay which is top dressed with Diamond Pro calcined clay is meticulously maintained daily throughout virtually the entire year. The outfield fence at Elm Street is 200 feet from home plate. The wood fence was built in the spring of 2005 by Elite Fence Company. There were 4 new major additions to the park for the 2007 season. The first, was two brick walls which extend from the end of each bullpen to the outfield fences. These walls, totaling about 176 feet in length, were completed only two days prior to the start of the regular season. The walls not only add beauty to the park they provide many more spectator opportunities for people down each foulline. These walls were built by the Eastern North Carolina Brick Masonry Council at less than 1/4 of the normal cost of such a project. The second project was a joint venture between the Greenville Recreation and Parks Department and Greenville Little Leagues. The old, lighting system was removed and a brand new MUSCO Lighting system was put in place by the third week of the season. This new system exceeds the minimum standards set forth by Little League Baseball. The third addition was the Joey Overby Memorial Viewing Deck. Located high above the right field bleachers, the viewing deck provides spectacular views of the ballgame and provides lawnchair seating for approximately 20 specators. This deck was built by Cherry Construction at a very substantial discount to Greenville Little Leagues. The last addition was a 35 foot flag pole stationed in dead center field which proudly displays Old Glory for each Little League game. It is flanked by two 30 foot flag poles which display a variety of different flags throughout the season. Elm Street Park also has, a press box, two (new in 2010) DAKTRONICS scoreboards (one of which has inning by inning scoring capabilities)a digital message center, and a clock topping the left field scoreboard. Elm Street's scoreboards are sponsored by Jarman Auto Sales, The Clement Companies, Thad's Flooring America, and East Carolina Bank. Elm Street also features a DAKTRONICS digital pitch counter sponsored by www.gllbaseball.com Also, new in 2010 are the interiors of the Elm Street dugouts. Both dugouts now have wood "pro style" benches, brand new helmet and bat racks, and a new shelf to hold each team's water cooler. Elm Street Park can accomodate 600 spectators in bleacher seating. With standing room and lawn chair seating, nearly 1,000 people can comfortably view the game making it the most spectator friendly Little League field in the state. Elm Street Park is located on Elm Street between 10th and 14th Streets.
Elmhurst School Practice Field The Elmhurst School Practice Field is located at the corner of Berkley Road and 14th Street. The field features a backstop and side fencing. Located on the corner of the Elmhurst School playground, the field is just across the street from East Carolina University's Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium.
Guy Smith Little League Field was built in the mid 60s and is a part of Guy Smith Park. Guy Smith Stadium, Guy Smith Prep Field, and Guy Smith Little League Field are the three fields that make up this great setting for youth baseball. Guy Smith Little League Field was built to fit the small corner of the park that it occupies. The shape of the field is the most unique in Greenville Little Leagues. The side fencing down the 1st and 3rd baselines is angled toward the playing field allowing little room between the foullines and the side fence deep in the outfield. The outfield fences are 200 feet from right field to center field. The distance to the leftfield foul pole is only 180 feet but quickly goes out to 192 feet and then comes back in to 188 feet in left center field. Long homeruns to left field at Guy Smith have been known to clear the street and land in the Home Builder's lumber yard. Guy Smith Little League Field has bathrooms, concession stand, dugouts, and a scoreboard. Guy Smith mainly plays host to minor league games but approximately 14 major league games a year are played there.
The Perkins Athletic Complex has played host to Greenville Little Leagues' games since it's opening in April of 1990. The Perkins Complex consists of the Kiwanis Field, VFW Field, two full sized batting cages and the Perkins Practice Field. Each game field has bleacher seating, incandescent scoreboards, a concession stand, and clean, well kept restrooms. Outfield fences on each field are 200 feet all the way around. Games are played 6 days a week on each of the fields. Each field is open on non game days for practices and casual use. The Perkins Athletic Complex is home to Greenville Little Leagues' Fall Baseball, Greenville Recreation & Parks Department (GRPD) baseball camps, and Greenville Little Leagues/GRPD Saturday Morning Fall Baseball.
West Meadowbrook Park West Meadowbrook Park is located off HWY 11, near the airport, on Legion Street. There is one Little League practice field at West Meadowbrook.
