| May 25th 1955.... opening game of the season...I played for Pepsi and we were playing the Elks...I hit a home run off Denny Hardee...I was 1 month shy of being 10 yrs old...it was a record for a long time as I was the youngest to ever do it..I left Greenville and played my final year in Kinston...I would have been on the 1957 Greenville championship team if I had stayed...doggone it!! |

Congratulations to everyone on another successful Little League season, and good job on the state championships, and good luck in the regional tournament! The site looks good, and Brian you do a great job. The league would not be but a fraction of what it is today without your hard work and leadership. You time and dedication show and I know you may not hear it enough but you make a huge impact in the lives of a lot of youth, and it is very much appreciated.
Thanks for all you do, and keep it up, a lot of people love what you’re doing!

Looks great and it was very handy during the state tournaments to keep up with all the games. The players really enjoyed reading about their exploits.
