Q: Can my child try-out for two different age groups in order to ‘play-up’: * No. Each player should only attend one evaluation. Attend your age-groups try-out. The Directors will use the try-out score & coach evaluations to determine the best placement.

Q: Can a U9 players try-out to play-up on travel? Yes, you may attend the U10 evaluations to be considered for a travel placement.  Placement is not guaranteed; you may be rostered back into the Rec program.

Q: Do players get cut? Will my child make a travel team?      Try-outs  are to sort kids, not necessarily to cut them. Every effort is made to find a spot for every player.

Q: On the night that my child is not being evaluated, is there still a foot skills session at Springhill? No, there will not be foot skills at Springhill on the 16th and 23rd. Please refer to your coach’s directions. Coaches are encouraged to run their own team practice that night at Springhill.

About our organization: Green Soccer Association is a non-profit COMMUNITY organization staffed by volunteer board members. We are the ONLY volunteer community soccer organization in Green. For over 25 years, GSA has been working to promote soccer within our community. Our organization works very closely with the Green Parks and Recreation department, as they provide and maintain our fields. It is our “goal” to offer every child in Green the opportunity to play soccer. Our programs are completely funded by player fees and very limited fundraising. We keep our costs low, but still make every effort to provide the BEST soccer experience with trained coaches that have complete background checks, licensed coaches for older travel players, a completely insured program, the best facilities, and YEARS of experience organizing youth soccer. EVERY DOLLAR of fees goes back to funding the program for the kids of Green. We also participate in community charity events to further strengthen our bonds with the community and to offer our players the chance to learn about being a member of a community and a team.
