    Tue 3/25/08 4:30pm Cary Imps: 5 - Green Hope Falcons: 4 Our offense is doing very well. The pitching is starting to come on strong. To win games though we must improve all aspects of our defense. Though we don't have much experience, I do believe we can do much better on the defensive end. One thing is we need to start is getting better in practice. So I am going to do alot of individual work.Plus, alot of game situations. The reason I have players working at different positions, is to improve their chances to make the varsity next year. Stick with us, we will improve in the 2nd half of the season. Even more this summer. Thanks for your support Coach G Cary High School

The game plan going in was to keep them off balance by throwing 70-80 percent off speed pitches and he did that to the tee. We just could not catch a break offensively. The guys have been doing a much better job on the fundamentals as the year comes to and end. The has been our coaching position all along. They did needed to learn the fundamentals this year to get ready for next year. Hopefuuly in the future I will be able to get down to the younger middle school players, to bring them up to speed. So we can work more on individual needs. They need to know the basic fundamental part off the game before they get to high school. Green Hope High School

    Tue 4/29/08 4:30pm Sondag hits Homerun, drives in 5, Green Hope falls 9-8 Max Povse pitched an outsanding game. Our pitching has really come forward. I am really proud of them for sticking with me and working as hard as they have. They go out and play without complaining or giving excuses when things go wrong. If we did this on defense we would have a great record. Our hitting has also continued to improve. Just remember pitching and defense wins games. I believe the varsity coaches are going to pick the best defensive people. They will look for the players who do things fundamentally sound. My advice to all WORK ON YOUR DEFENSE THIS SUMMER.... TEN TIMES MORE THAN YOUR HITTING. Fuquay-Varina High School
