GSAY Concludes its 2009 Season

The Greenfield Soccer Association for Youth concluded its 2009 season on Sunday October 25th.  This year we had 200 players ages 4 to 13 in fifteen teams. A total of 84 games were played.  Seven teams traveled to play away games.

During this season:

  • We continued with National SAY recommended age divisions and age appropriate soccer rules.
  • Our high quality, regulation size field in South Salem (Harper's fields)  was home to the U-14 team again.
  • The U-14 team (we hope someday it becomes the Greenfield Middle School soccer team) played 6 different opponents.
  • Once again higher quality uniforms were used.
  • The instructional program continued playing some games in Leesburg and hosting some Leesburg teams at home.

Please help improve the program by mailing or sharing your suggestions at any of the Board meetings.  Meetings are open to the public and are conducted the last Wednesday of each month at 6:30 pm (location subject to change).

The Greenfield Soccer Association for Youth thanks its players, coaches, parents, fans and volunteers for their contribution to this season, and congratulates all tournament champions and participants.

We hope to see you all next season!!!
