Game and Event Cancellations
While we will attempt to update the website as soon as possible, the GBLL phone number (732-752-2948) will have the most up-to-date report on game and event cancellations due to weather conditions. Unless the GBLL phone line or website advise otherwise, all games and events should be considered on.
2009 Field and Stand Bonds
Each family is required to perform eight (8) hours of volunteer work in order to fulfill their field bond duties. In addition to our spring and fall clean-ups, there are other opportunities where volunteers can receive credit for field work, e.g., cleaning up before and after Opening Day and the Annual Picnic. Families can also fulfill the field bond requirement if they have any special skills to assist GBLL in operation. These assignments can only be assigned by a GBLL Board Member. Managers are exempt from the field bond requirement.
In order to fulfill the stand bond requirement, each family is required to work the "Shack" for a minimum of three (3) nights; six (6) hours minimum. It is your responsibility to sign up for date(s) at the "Shack". Details on sign-up procedures will be posted on the GBLL website by February 2009. Managers are NOT EXEMPT from the shack bond requirement.
Rutgers SAFETY Clinic
GBLL requires that all prospective managers and coaches possess a Rutgers SAFETY Clinic card. If you are interested in learning more about the Rutgers SAFETY Clinic and/or finding where you can attend an upcoming clinic, please visit http://www.youthsports.rutgers.edu/
You Lost, We Found
We have an expanding collection of sporting goods available at the Shack. If you misplaced your equipment at a game or practice, please contact GBLL via the above email address during the off season.
