History

Green and Gold History
The San Marin Baseball Program began to flourish under Coach Ron Butori in the 1970's.

In 1976, his team became the first San Marin baseball team to go to the MCAL Playoffs.

Coach Butori started the Easter Tournament and influenced the building of the varsity field.

His advice and guidance over the years have been reasons the program has remained successful.

Besides Coach Butori, one other person who stood out for all his service to the game of baseball was Ed Salmina.

Ed made sure there was Fall and Summer baseball for boys to play and was always a great supporter of athletics at San Marin High School.
