April 18 Pictures May 9 Picutes make-ups May 21 Last Day of regular season games May 26-Jun 6 Approximate date for the County Tournament There are teams from Grassland, Brentwood, Bethesda, College Grove, Trinity, Heritage, Franklin, and Fairview that Williamson County Parks and Recreation schedules for. The commissioners from each league meet and take on the monumental task of scheduling. Each age group will play once during the week (same night each week) and on Saturday. The number of teams that Grassland has in an age group will determine how often you will play at Grassland. For the last several years the 5-6, 7-8 and 9-10 have played at least one game per week at Grassland. We also play games at Fly Park which is off of Hwy. 96 in the Trinity area. GAA will try to honor requests such as played together last year, transportation, friends, etc. as much as possible when making team rosters, however there are no guarantees of team placement. The "projected" time line is for teams to be formed the last week of February and practice to begin the first of March. Games are scheduled to start the last week of March and end with the county tournament following the first of June. No games will be played during Memorial Day weekend. Games will be played on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturdays. The county used Wednesday last year for make up games and we also scheduled some in house (Grassland against Grassland) games on Fridays. Last year each team had about 14 games on their schedule so if one did not get made up they still had plenty of games. The first draft of the schedule should be out in mid-March with final copies out by the end of March. This seems like poor planning to be cutting it so close but we are trying to schedule about 125 teams at approx. 10 locations. GAA will communicate to players and parents via email this Spring, so be looking for important communications from GAA in your inbox. In the meantime, if you have any questions, please feel free to email us. GAA Coordinator of Softball - Jose Garcia jfgarcia42@yahoo.com GAA Executive Director - Allison Hill dmillerhill@comcast.net
