Grand Mesa Little League: Welcome

Please read below, now you child/children can participate in the Little League where their school is located as well as where they live.

We are excited becausethere are now two options for where your children can play Little League. As always, they can play for the league where your home is located. Or, this year, a new rule allows your children to play for the league where their school is located. In a changing educational landscape, this new rule gives parents the option to register their children for the Little League that is truly most convenient to the family, and further enhance the role of community with the classmates of your Little Leaguers® and their families.

We have a Facebook page which has instant messages as far as game cancellations, upcoming events and much, much more. Click on the link below and like the page and you will be up-to-date on all things Grand Mesa Little League.  You will get notified right away of all information and be one of the first to know.!/pages/Grand-Mesa-Little-League-Fans-and-Players/102529349812578

This year there will be NO concessions stand duty for anyone.  Due to the lack of participation we will be paying non-profit organizations to come and work.  We have had too many teams not showing and it is causing us not to be able to serve those who are needing to order food.  We will try this and see how things work.  If you have any comments in reference to this, please feel free to contact the league at 970-242-6951.

Please don't forget and help keep the ballpark clean.  If you have sunflower seeds, please spit your shells into a cup and dump them into a trash can.  Thank you for your help with this.

VOLUNTEER FORM - If you are a Manager, Coach, Team Parent or involved with the kids on the field (practice or game) you MUST fill out a Volunteer Form and turn it in before you are allowed to help.  This is for the safety of your children.  If you have any questions regarding this, please contact a board member and they will be able to assist you. You must fill out a new form EVERY year that you want to participate. You can click on the "Volunteer Form" tab on the left of this page and it will take you to the form to fill out. We will also need a copy of your identification with your form.  Please turn your completed forms into Stella Garcia.  You can also email them to her at

CONCUSSIONS - This is a major focus this year in all sports. We, at Grand Mesa Little League, will be pro-active with this subject for the safety of our children. ALL Managers, Coaches and Board Members will be REQUIRED to take a free course on concussions. Please click on the link below to take the course. You are required to print the certificate at the end and turn it into your division representative. THIS IS MANDATORY AND THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS! You will need to click on the link and click "take the training". Do not forget to print the completion certificate at the end and turn it into your division representative. Anyone is able to take this course for their own knowledge, but is only required for managers, coaches and board members. EVEN IF YOU TOOK IT LAST YEAR...YOU MUST TAKE IT AGAIN THIS YEAR AND TURN IT INTO YOUR PLAYER REPRESENTATIVE.

BOARD MEETINGS - We meet the 2nd Sunday of every month at 6:00 p.m. at GMLL. Would you like to have input on what happens around the park? Do you have some idea's on how to make the park a better place? If you answered yes to these questions, we need you. GMLL could use some good volunteers like you to help. If you are interested, please call Dave Mantlo at 970-216-2570 and let him know you would like to help. With good volunteers, it makes everything better for the kids.

Grand Mesa offers a great deal for drinks at the park. You can purchase one of two different cups for $7.00 and your first fill is free.  You can bring your cup to the  concession stand and fill your cup as many times as you  like through the year for only $1.00 each fill.  This is a great deal and will save you a lot of money throughout the season.  Stop by the Shirt Shack to purchase your cup.
