Drillers had another successful weekend with a victory over the Red Deer Buccaneers. Drillers 23 Bucs 13. Drillers got off to a slow start with just a single field goal in the first half. The Buc's gave up a safety and going into halftime Red Deer was up 10 - 5. The second half of the game the Drillers started moving the ball and putting points on the board.  We're giving this game to our Defence for keeping us in it.  The defensive line had some knockdowns and a good push to put pressure on the bucs QB. Interceptions by Cole Redakope and John Sanchez  Touchdowns by Holdyn Lorentz and Trent Arsnal. Tyler Fulmek added a couple long field goals.    Drillers are on their bye week with the Canada day long weekend coming up.

The next big task is keeping it going through the second half of the season. The drillers start off the second half with two away games. Starting with the Edmonton Stallions at Foote Field July 11th. Kickoff at 7pm.
