GP Drillers: Welcome

Saturday night was a barn burner of a football game, the Drillers moving on to semi-finals with a 55-49 win over the Buccaneers. Once our offense got going they where nearly unstoppable, Nathan throwing 5 tds and 4 two point converts. (Symon Phau 2tds Brent Fulmek 2tds Donald Jones 1td and Mitch Fulmek 2tds) (Donald Jones, Brent Fulmek, Ace Carlson, and Tyler Fulmek all had a two point convert catch) The first two converts where unplanned, Nate was able to take the bad snap and make something of it. Tyler Fulmek had another great game kicking, one 37 yard field goal and a couple short kick on the kick-off that where recovered by James Kostuk. The Defence had a few break downs, as well as a few injuries in the game. Linebacker Amos Alderd and D-End Brett Boucher went down in the first half which opened up a few weak spots in the Defence. They still came up big when needed stopping the Bucs in the red zone a few times. Nathan Aldred went 38-43 with 676 yards passing.
The Drillers now prepare for the road as we head down to Lloydminster this weekend.
