Letter to Boys Track Team Parents

Dear parents,

During a meeting on Thursday, November 19, 2004, the boys track team voted to implement a team dues system to purchase uniforms. The amount of the dues are $100 and will cover the cost of warm-ups, competition uniform and a travel bag. Warm-ups will cost approximately $45-$50, including monogramming and team logo. Competition uniforms will cost $20-$35, depending on quantity ordered and travel/duffle bags will cost about $20.

It is important that team members attempt to pay dues before the holiday break, since the team order needs to be placed as soon as possible to ensure we can get uniforms before supplies run low. Because we run in black and red warm-ups and will be ordering discounted product through Eastbay, our colors are very popular and we must order before quantities run out and we are forced to look at other alternatives, which could affect cost.

Warm-ups will also be monogrammed with runners’ names or nicknames of their choosing and all materials purchased become the property and the responsibility of the runners. Runners will be expected to have uniforms for every meet and sharing of their uniforms is discouraged because if they’re lost they would have to be reordered.
