History

Past History of the Grande Prairie Panthers.
1987-89 - Grande Prairie Golden Wings
             - 1988 won C Provincials

1990-94 - Became South Peace Panthers
             - competed at C level         Provincials yearly but never captured gold.

1994-97 - BJ's Grande Prairie Panthers
             - 1996 won C Provincials
             - 1997 silver at B Provincials

1997-present - Grande Prairie Panthers
                  Women's Hockey Club
               - 1999 gold at B Provincials
               - 1999 bronze at the Western
             Canadian Shield winning 1-0 over
             Manitoba in the 7th period (4th
             overtime period)...Also, was the longest game in female hockey.

               - 2000 gold at A Provincials
               - 2000 silver at the Western
             Canadian Shield. Lost to
             Manitoba 3-2. Manitoba scored
             at 19:59 of the 3rd period to
             get the win.
