Field Status: Open

Dear Western Family,

I am writing to inform you that due to the low numbers in our major division and no 12 year olds this year myself and the board have decided not to put together an all star team for the 10-11 or 11-12 year old groups. We just do not have enough kids to go out and play the type of ball that is played at the all star level. We will only be fielding a 9-10 year old all star team and a Juniors all star team. Please know that Western is not the only league that will not be sending teams for all age groups because we just don't have the numbers we decided to withdraw from those age groups this year. I know that next year if all the 11 year olds come back to play we will have an awesome team and will be able to field and compete with the others. I have discussed this with District 41 and they are aware. I would like to see all the fans come out and watch the 9-10 team and the Juniors team as they play in the all star tournament. I will be posting all the dates at the snack bar. We also have TOC at our field this year the dates for that are June 8th thru June 14th come out and watch the teams playing at our field. We will have a lot of other leagues there watching games so wear your red and black to show your pride in Western Little League. Also we will be holding our closing ceremonies on June 16th from 1000-200 hope to see everyone there for that event. Its that time of the year!

We need names of those wishing to run for the 2013 ECWLL Board!

A nomination sheet will be posted at the Snack Bar so anyone can submit names.

We will be accepting nominees for each position.

Once nominations are submitted, the elections will be held.

Members may vote once, there will be a voting fee of $1.00

Come on everyone, lets fill up the ballot.

WHAT IS “WINTERBALL”?

WHO CAN PLAY?

All current and new players, league age 4-14 as of April 30, 2013. The player must also reside within ECWLL's boundaries.

WHERE DO WE PLAY?   

ECWLL will host its own games. If a division does not have more than 3 teams we will play at additional District 41 fields.

WHAT DIVISIONS PLAY?

(1)  Tee-ball:       Applicable for players at league age 4-6

(2)  Caps:             Applicable for players at league age 7-8

(3)  Minors:         Applicable for players at league age 9-12

(4)  Majors:    Applicable for players at league age 10-12

(5)  Juniors:         Applicable for players at league age 13-14

ARE THERE TRYOUTS? HOW IS MY CHILD ASSIGNED TO A DIVISION?

No tryouts are implemented for Winter Ball. Per the divisional guidelines above, the player agent will assign each player to the correct division.

WILL MY CHILD AUTOMATICALLY PLAY IN THE SAME DIVISION DURING THE SPRING SEASON?

No, your child’s divisional play in Winter Ball has no influence the Spring season. Before the Spring season, all players must try-out and enter the draft. The Spring season draft will determine your child’s divisional/team play.
