Junior
Academics: Maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout freshman and sophomore years. Received 3.5 GPA or higher athletic award for JV Field Hockey, JV basketball, Varsity Soccer, Varsity Field Hockey, Varsity Basketball , and Varsity Soccer again.
Sophomore year athletics
Soccer: 2nd team All-Liberty District Varsity Defender Selection as a sophomore. Coaches' Choice for team captain. Players' Choice Most Valuable Player. Played and started in all 12 games. A part of defensive group that had shutouts against Edison and Falls Church.
Varsity Basketball: Part-time starter helped lead the team to a much improved 14 and 10 record, winning the Book Jammin' Christmas Tournament and a three-peat victory over Langley.
Varsity Field Hockey: Played and started in every Varsity Field Hockey game. Scoring 25% of the teams goals and leading the team in assists.
Freshman athletics
Soccer: Only freshman selected onto varsity soccer team. Started and played in every game. Had 4 assists.
Basketball: Started and played in every JV basketball game as team captain. Received the coach's award and leading the team in all stats.
Field Hockey: Started and played in every JV Field Hockey game while receiveing MVP honors
Soccer background: Has played soccer since age 6, and travel since age 9. Before playing for the Sparks Nina was part of Gunston USA, WAGS D3, coached by Roland Castillo.
Nina has also taken a large role in her church. Teaching the RCIC program, as well as being part of the CYO and attending Workcamp, a service mission, for several years.
Nina is very interested in playing Division 1 college soccer. A few of her top college choices are: University of South Florida, Loyola, Tampa University, West Virginia University
