New Kensington Youth Programs (NKYP), Inc. is a non-profit organization that promotes a healthy mind and body. Although basketball is emphasized, reading and written book reports are required to participate. Visit the different sections of this website to see all of our planned activities.

The 17th Season is Under Way

Already March and the Madness is here.  The NKSYP Board Members has been hard at work planning for the 17th season of Gosby "Goose" Basketball and other fun activities for the players and members of the community. Let's all pitch in and make it the best one yet. We need all kinds of volunteers for many different projects, so if you do not know anything about basketball you can still help out with sign-ups, field trips, and the year end banguet. See you on the courts!

Please visit the handout section for downloadable handouts regarding Important Dates, Field Trips, Reading Assignments and other League Activities.

Player Rotation Rules

New rules have been implemented for player rotation during games to give everyone equal court time.  Handouts will be available at game time.

Permission Slips for Field Trips

Checkout the "Handouts" section to download permission slips for the upcoming field trips. Children in grades 1 thru 11 who are NOT on a "Goose" basketball league team, must submit two, two page book report to attend any or all field trip(s). THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS.
