Goldenrod Little League receives a ceremonial check from Andrew Merkerson, Field of Dreams Program Coordinator. This signifies the completion of a long process of applying them providing the necessary documentation demonstrating our need. Although, our wish list exceeded $132,000, we received the maximum grant of $90,000. This was a great accomplishment by the current board members. Please join me in congratulating them for the work accomplished and the work yet to come in administrating the work necessary to complete this project. We will try to get more information to our members as the project continues. If you have any questions please email me or just stop and ask any of the board members.

The 2005 Senior Yankees accomplished what folks said could not be done. They took the district 24 top team award in a sweep. They 10 run ruled three of the four teams played. They were sensational, displaying true sportsmanship in every win. Their focus was unshaken by the sad news of their manager's loss. Instead, they dedicated each game to him and played their hearts out. Each boy stepped up his game to another level. Each diving catch, continuing to play while hurt, each home run, each great play only made them more determined.

Goldenrod 2005 Seniors went on to take Division 24 Championship
