2005 Record: 4-3 in Division I
Pretty impressive season, considering we only had 65 kids on the roster! Small and mighty, with lots of "big guns!"
2006 Record: 2-5 in Division I
Lots of close meets, and unfortunately we were missing close to 30 kids at some of the meets. Nevertheless, great season!

The Seahorses were led by 3 extremely dedicated, knowledgeable, and experienced coaches:
Head Coach Jillian Beck

Coach Jillian will now be coaching at Manheim Swim Team and thanks the GM swimmers for all their hard work and for just being awesome!
Jillian was head coach of GMST for 2 years. Swimming is pretty much in her blood, as both her parents were GM members as kids, and her dad swam on the team and is also a swim coach. She began swimming at the age of 5 for Woodridge. She swam there until she graduated from Hempfield High School in 2002, after 14 years on the team. Over the years she also competed for the Lancaster YMCA where she was a district qualifier, as well as Trident and Lancaster Aquatic Club. She swam for 4 years for Hempfield High School, where she was a 4-year letter winner, an Academic All-American and team captain. Jillian swam for East Stroudsburg University for 4 years, and was a 4-time PSAC and ESU scholar-athlete award winner, as well as dean's list every semester. She graduated magna cum laude in May 2006 from ESU with a degree in elementary education. Previous coaching experience includes Lancaster Aquatic Club and Woodridge Swim Team. She currently coaches at the Lancaster YMCA and Hempfield High School during the winter. She loved coaching GMST!

Assistant Coach Lisa Henderson
Coach Lisa will also be coaching at Manheim Swim Team this summer
Lisa was an assistant coach at GMST for one year. Lisa started
swimming when she was 10 years old for Manheim summer swim team and
continued until she graduated from Manheim Central High School in 2005. Lisa is currently attending Penn State University, majoring in Paralegal Studies. Her personality and energy are irreplaceable!
Assistant Coach Rob Siemasko
Rob was a long time GMST swimmer and did double duty as a swimmer and assistant coach the last few years. He is a senior at Penn Manor High School, where he has qualified for the PIAA District III and State meets in swimming. He also swims for LAC and has numerous honors on the USS level. He brought enthusiasm and competitiveness to our team, and enjoyed getting the younger swimmers pumped for their swims!
The coaches wish to thank the GMST families for their support over the years... they will miss you! They are sad about the recent turn of events, and wish that things had worked out differently and that they were still your coaches! Best of luck to the swimmers in the future!

Happy Holidays!
Hello everyone! I hope things are going well during this school year and that everyone had a nice Thanksgiving. The school year sure is going fast! I've been busy teaching in Hempfield and coaching at the Lancaster Y. I'm also helping out with the Hempfield HS team this winter. I've been lucky enough to have many swimmers in class, as well as coaching some at the Y and HHS! I've seen many of you around as well. Good luck this winter to all the GMST swimmers competing for winter clubs, as well as other sports. A number of our swimmers participated in fall sports and were successful. Most notably is the Hempfield girls' volleyball team, which won the state title! Ella Meier was a member of that team- congrats!
Of course, the holiday season wouldn't be complete without our annual holiday pool party! So come on out to GM on Friday, December 15 from 6:00-8:30 pm for some swimming, food, and lots of fun! Golden Meadows will provide the pizza, and families are asked to bring a side item/dessert or drinks to share. Please RSVP by calling the pool office. Parents are invited to join in the fun too! Swimmers are encouraged to bring any friends or siblings that are interested in joining the team! The coaches will be there to have fun as well! Hope to see everyone there!
