IBBA is hosting a USSSA League and A division tournament weekend of Memorial Day! This is a good primer for teams planning to play the USSSA League/A State tournament the weekend June 1st.
Where: Trinity View Park Cost: T-Ball and Coach Pitch - $200 all otherages $225.
Format: 2 Pool Games and Single elimination bracket. Each team to provide a game ball for each game. Home team to keep score.
Based on participation age groups may be combined if necessary. (5-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14). Trophies to the top 2 places in each age group. Minimum 5 teams per age group for bracket to make. We need to know no later than May 22.

IBBA will be hosting the USSSA State tournament for the 5U, 6U, and 7U Coach Pitch Divisions. This is a great tournament for REC class teams to participate and play teams from other cities right here in Irving! It is a economical two day tournament for the kids to experience tournament play. Playing in the tournament allows your team to qualify for the USSSA League/A class World Series later this year!
DATE: June 1st - 3rd
Cost: $175 total
Format: Three game guarantee. 2 Pool + Single Elimination Bracket

With our affiliation with USSSSA we will abide by and follow the Bat Performance Policy instituted for USSSA sanctioned play. The bat performance policy can be found here. The significant policy change for 2011 and 2012 is in regard to "BIG Barrel" bats. These are bats of 2 5/8 and 2 3/4 inch barrels. This applies to metal and composite bats. These bats MUST conform to the USSSA bat policy to be used in league and tournament play. There is a clarification of the rule located here. These bats must carry the USSSA Fingerprint on the handle or be BBCOR cerified bats. USSSA has a list of certified bat manufacturers on their webpage.
Fo 2 1/4 inch barrels there is no significant changes for 2012. For 2012 these bats will also have to carry the USSSA Fingerprint stamped and visible on the handle.
