Key dates for the 2012 Spring Season are listed below.
Tryouts Feb 18 and 25 - All players need to be registered in order to participate in tryouts. Registration will be available at tryouts but you must arrive before your time slot for your age. If you have signed a Player Contract you do not need to participate in the tryouts. If you have not signed a player contract it is to your advantage to come to tryouts. TBALL does not tryout! If for some reason you can not make tryouts you will be assigned to a team.If you are interested in coaching a TEAM it is to your advantage to come to tryouts. We ALWAYS NEED COACHES. All managers and a coach must attend tryouts for their age division.
Player Assignment / Draft Feb 26th - Manager and coach from each team must attend as you will receive your final roster at this event. Times and location will be posted.
Fundraiser Pass Out March 5th - 8th - We will hand out fundraiser tickets and go over your age specific rules per age group. Manager and Coach orTeam mom must attend.
Pre Season Tournament March 19th - $100 per team registered in Irving and outside teams are $250
Games start April 2 - Some leagues will start depending on the number of teams in your division.
Opening Season Celebration April 14 - Be creative and bring your team out to the park for festivities. Your team can do something to raise money, have a bounce house, sell drinks, cake walk, use your imagination!

IBBA will be having Registration sign-ups @ CICIs Pizza on Shady Grove and Northwest Park. Registration is $50 per player + $70 fundraiser per player.
Northwest park is located on Cheyenne behind the Irving Mall.
On-line registration is also going on currently as well. Hurry and sign up! The calender will be updated with upcoming events as well!

With our affiliation with USSSSA we will abide by and follow the Bat Performance Policy instituted for USSSA sanctioned play. The bat performance policy can be found here. The significant policy change for 2011 and 2012 is in regard to "BIG Barrel" bats. These are bats of 2 5/8 and 2 3/4 inch barrels. This applies to metal and composite bats. These bats MUST conform to the USSSA bat policy to be used in league and tournament play. There is a clarification of the rule located here. These bats must carry the USSSA Fingerprint on the handle or be BBCOR cerified bats. USSSA has a list of certified bat manufacturers on their webpage.
Fo 2 1/4 inch barrels there is no significant changes for 2012. For 2012 these bats will also have to carry the USSSA Fingerprint stamped and visible on the handle.
Please make sure to REVIEW THE POLICY above before you purchase a new bat!!! IBBA assumes no responsibility or liability for purchases that do not meet the guidelines and the formal requirements should be verified throught the USSSA website bat regulations.
