Federal Way American Little League: My Default Season Divisions
Ages 9-12
8 year olds may try out for AAA but will only be placed on teams by approval of the FWALL Coaching Coordinator and as space allows.
10-12 year old players are guaranteed spots on teams in AAA.
T-Ball
Ages 5-6
Players hit off a T (may be some soft toss near the end of the season, but players will always have the option of hitting off the T)
A Ball
Ages 6-8
Coach Pitch (may be some player pitch near the end of the season)
6 year olds may play A division only if they played T-Ball for 2 seasons
8 year olds may play either A or AA based on their abilities and comfort level or they may try out for AAA (please see information regarding tryouts)
AA Ball
Ages 8-9
Player pitch (may be some coach pitch early in the season)
8 year olds may play either A or AA division based on their abilities and comfort level or they may try out for AAA. (Please see information regarding tryouts)
Majors
Ages 9-12
Majors players are selected by trying out for teams. Players must attend two tryout dates to be eligible for the Majors draft. Any player not wanting to be eligible for the Majors division draft should fill out a "Do Not Draft" form.
New Little League International Rule goes into effect with the 2008 Spring Season. All eligible 12 year old players must be drafted first, then the draft is open to all other eligible players. 8 year olds may try out for Majors and/or AAA, but will only be placed on teams by approval of the FWALL Coaching Coordinator and as space allows. 9 year olds may try out but will be placed on teams as space allows.
Juniors
Ages 13-14
Players should attend at least one tryout date
Seniors
Ages 15-16
Players should attend at least one tryout date
