| College costs -- tuition, books & supplies, room & board, incidentals, travel home for holidays -- are quite high. The low end is around $15,000.00 a year for a state resident to attend a California State University. The upper end is around $40,000.00 a year for several prestigious universities. Many typical four-year college/university programs cost around $25,000.00 a year. (Visit http://nces.ed.gov/ipeds/cool/Search.asp to determine the exact cost of attending your favorite college/university.) Typically college costs approximately $1000.00 per week Recruit enrollment fees range from $495.00 (our Basic Program, with two e-mails) to $1995.00 (Premium Duo Plus Exposure, three contacts per contract year). Is it prudent to invest $895.00 in an attempt to obtain a four-year scholarship worth $60,000.00 to $160,000.00? The answer seems clear. A potential return on investment of 6,587% to 18,000% qualifies as an outstanding investment opportunity. Is a scholarship guaranteed? No. If a scholarship could be guaranteed the cost of the Recruit service would be dramatically higher. However, Recruit doesn't award scholarships nor does it control the decision making process of schools that do award scholarships. Recruit athletes get effective, positive exposure to hundreds of college and university coaches. If it is possible for a particular athlete to obtain a scholarship anywhere in the country, he/she can find it through Recruit. A typical Recruit athlete will receive 15 to 100 responses from specific colleges. These contacts by colleges begin the dialogue between the athlete and these schools as they interact to see if there's a "fit" between what the school offers and what the athlete wants. Every athlete is different and unique. Not every athlete will find a fit with every school nor would they want to. But the vast preponderance of Recruit athletes will find the fit they're seeking if they are willing to do a good job of follow-up after being contacted by interested colleges. | Is anyone making sure that college coaches throughout the country are seeing you? Is anyone helping you contact college coaches, plan for your SAT and ACT tests, or research college sports programs? Is anyone making sure that you maximize your once in a lifetime opportunity to play college sports? If the answer is no, we need to talk. Each athlete must go through our evaluation interview process before being accepted into a Recruit program, but we would be happy to start that process now. If you know the name of your regional scout contact them immediately, or call us directly at 1-888-284-9227 for more information. We'll be happy to answer any questions you might have. | I'm glad to that my children, Dillon and Brigette are associated with such a wonderful organization. I've been looking through the website and am very grateful for all of the valuable information here. Also, I would like to say thank you for all of the people who've helped me so graciously at the track meet and at the practice with my three small ones: Jordan, Anthony and Ariana. |
