So You Think You Can Dance

or sing? or play an instrument?  The first annual Titan Talent Show is coming on April 4th.  Pick up an application in the House of Bluez (Room 809) and come out to demonstrate your talent.  Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.  Teachers and staff are welcome to enter the competition as well.

This Friday night!!  "Dancin' in the Streets" is the theme for this 'Girl asks Boy' event and the doors open at 7:00 p.m. All are welcome to attend even if you don't ask anyone - come with a group of friends!!  Ticket prices are posted at the Bookkeeper's Window.

Friday, March 7 beginning at 7:00 p.m. in The Thunderdome.  Tickets are $5 with ASB card; $7 without.  There will be drawings, prizes and raffles to win tickets to a Lakers or Clippers game, a 'coach' bag, certificate from The Coffee Bean and more.  Come out and see the following staff members take on the Class of 2008...

Also March 5:  Showcase of Champions sponsored by TCHS Cheer.  Come out to the Thunderdome tonight and see performances from local high school cheer and dance teams showcasing their routines prior to USA Nationals on March 8.  Tickets for the March 5 Showcase are $5 each and can be purchased from any cheerleader or at the door.  Doors open at 5:00.  Show begins at 6:00. 

March 7:  1st annual Titan Staff v. Titan Seniors Basketball game.  Fundraiser to benefit Grad Night.  Game starts at 7:00.  This is sure to be great fun and you definitely want to check out our special Titan Staff Cheerleaders!! Tickets are on sale now at the Bookkeeper's Window.  $5 w/ASB card; $7 w/o ASB card.  Event takes place in the Thunderdome.

March 14:  Spring Pep Rally and Sadie Hawkins Dance

March 19:  our 15th annual PROM EXPO for Juniors (9:15-10:06) and Seniors (10:35-11:19).  See classmates model the latest fashion wear.  Talk to vendors about pricing and selection for limos, florist, hair styling, formal rentals, pictures, accessories and more!! A few openings are still available for male juniors or seniors to model the latest tuxedo fashions!  See Mrs. Carter for more information related to Prom Expo.

March 21 - March 30:  Spring Break / No School

March 31:  Last day to purchase prom tickets at $70 single; $140 couple.  Price increases again April 1 to $75 single; $150 couple

Cheerleaders form tunnel for the PARADE of CHAMPIONS

Our winter pep rally was held Janaury 25.  There was a staff v. athletes ice cream eating contest and Mr. Cleary won.  Mr. LaPorte was dressed up for the occassion since his coin jar received the most change from students in a recent fundraiser.  Our varsity teams, academic teams and winter semi-formal royalty were introduced.  Saturday night was our annual winter semi-formal in the Thunderdome.  As for the winter sports season...

Our wrestling team has their last HOME match and Senior Night on Thursday, January 31 @ 6:15 p.m.

Our boys and girls basketball teams have their last HOME game and Senior Night on Tuesday, February 5.  Girls game 5:30; Boys game 7:00.

We have 6 Pep Rallies per year depending on scheduling. Make sure you sit in your "Class Section" of SENIORS, Juniors, Sophomores or freshmen so we can judge which class has the loudest, the most and the best school spirit!  Don't look out of place - wear your BLUE and WHITE to school every Friday....ESPECIALLY at rallies and games!

ASSEMBLIES:

We have several assemblies throughout the year. Most of our assemblies fall into the "fun and / or makes you think" category. Here are two we have scheduled already:
Red Ribbon Week Assembly on Thursday, Oct. 2
Prom Expo on Wednesday, March 19 (juniors and seniors only)

DANCES:
Sponsored by each class. There is usually a theme and we try to hold dances every other month. Prices vary and school dress code is enforced.  Tickets are sold at the Bookkeeper's Window at break and lunch.  Students with ASB Card receive a discount.   All dances take place on campus from 7-11 p.m. except for Prom.  Besides the Junior / Senior Prom, here are some other dances to look forward to:

Welcome Back Luau on Saturday, Sept. 9th.
Dress Hawaiian and meet new people, hang out with friends and just chill.

Homecoming Dance
on Saturday, Oct. 21 in The Thunderdome.
Announcement of Homecoming Court for each class. The Queen is crowned at the Homecoming Game the following week.

Winter Semi-Formal on Saturday, Jan. 26 in The Thunderdome. Winter King & Queen announced.

Sadie Hawkins Dance on Friday, March 14 in The Thunderdome. Girls! Here's your chance to ask that male friend of yours to a dance! Lots of people dress alike (matching shirts) and everyone is welcome to attend whether or not you asked someone or got asked.

Jr. / Sr. Prom Date TBA.  Tickets go on sale January 28-February 1 for the "Early Bird Special" price of $100/couple and $50/single . If you purchase your ticket(s) before PROM EXPO on March 19, your name is entered into a drawing for some fabulous prizes! More PROM info available at a much later date.

Yearbook Dance / Luau (for seniors only!!!) Date TBA.  6:00-8:00 p.m on the pool deck.  Dress Hawaiian, bring your lawn chairs, your swimming attire, pick up our "always spectacular" yearbook and hang out poolside with your senior pals as you remember the good ole' days of freshmen PE at the pool. If you're not at the luau or you are not a senior...pick up your yearbook on Friday, June 1 at lunch.

Congratulations to our Titan Football team for winning 41-14 over Temecula Valley at Homecoming.  The Titans are now 5-1 and 2nd place in league.  Their next game is HUGE against Vista Murrieta at VMHS.  The winner of this game will sit atop the Southwestern League in 1st place.   We also want to congratulate the SENIOR CLASS for winning the Homecoming float competition!!  The Class of 2011 placed 2nd; sophomores placed 3rd and Juniors placed 4th.
