Welcome to the Alleycats Girls Fast Pitch Competitive Softball. We are located in the Northeast of Pennsylvania, Bradford County. In our inaugural year Christa and Denny Phillips with the help of Christi and Mindy Brown convinced Coach Barry Brown to come out of retirement and coach a group of young ladies, So with that Coach Brown and Denny Phillips got together toward the end of the 2005 softball season and decided to put a competitive team together so that they could extend the traditional softball season as well as enter into a higher competition level. So after much thought they held tryouts in three different locations in two states choosing 13 young ladies that had the same desire as them. Which was to play more softball. Together they choose the 13 ladies from a  pool of quality players from 5 different school districts. The Alleycat ladies are from Northeast Bradford, Towanda, Muncy, Troy, Wyalusing and Canton Area School Districts.

We are FIRED UP

About our new season that will seem like " The season from Heaven in 2007. As we leave an awesome year behind us filled with good times, great memories we look forward to building on what we developed last year. We will start our season out with a new tournament "Dust off the Rust" in Chambersburg Pa, a retun trip to the incredably awesome "Aunt Rosies" tournament in Buffalo NY and all the wonderful tournaments in between leading up to our first trip to PONY Nationals in Cary, North Carolina. What an exciting season this will be.

As the Endless Mountain Alleycats wrap up their successful inaugural year, they look forward to the 07 season.

Success is measured in many different ways, but no matter how you look at the Alleycats' 1st year, it was a great one. Not only did the Alleycats finish in the top 3 in most of the tournaments in which they played; they placed 3rd in the state (ASA) tournament and finished first in sportsmanship, bonding socially, meeting new people with the same interests, and seeing other parts of the country as well as all the girls becoming better ball players.

This was a great season as the coaches, players, and parents grew together in an unbelievable family atmosphere. The fan base for this group of young ladies was second to none as their support was there at every tournament, helping in any way possible from warm ups to lunch duty to cheering.

Below is an excerpt from the Aunt Rosie’s tournament in Buffalo, New York. "As we went down the first row, there were four smaller pop up tents put together and the team, parents and coaches were sitting under the tent - having a great time in between games. In the parking lot across from their tents were many cars - all nicely - very nicely decorated. As we got off our golf cart to look at the vehicles closely, we got to talk to some of the people. The Alleycat girls had stayed up late the night before decorating in their motel parking lot and were still decorating as we got near with the judges. Over the rest of the week end we talked to the Alleycats people more and while we don't give out a trophy for the team that has the most fun over an Aunt Rosie's week end, if we did, the Endless Mountain Alley Cats from Wysox PA (about 214miles away) would definitely would have been in contention for winning the award. They sure seemed to be enjoying themselves...."

The ladies took every advantage of hanging together on and off the field. They would have fun at the pool, take impromptu trips to the mall, go to the Troy Fair, have campouts and sleepovers, not to mention the AOL chatting. You can view our guest book at our web site at http://eteamz.active.com/goalleycats/guestbook.cfm to see the relationship that they have developed.

Obviously winning has a lot to do with spirit, and the winning and playing credit goes to the head coach, Barry Brown. Coach Brown has had many years of softball experience from working with his own daughter and her teammates, helping them become better players at the college level as well as great people (with a little help from Mrs. Brown), coaching varsity ball, then moving on to golf. Fortunately, he was convinced that he could still have a lot of fun helping some other young ladies, and he came out to coach this successful team. He has enjoyed it so much that he has signed up for another year.

Thanks Coach Brown.

A big part of Coach Brown's success this year was that, with many years of teaching young people at the Northeast School District and many years of experience in softball, he was able to achieve great things. Coach Brown’s philosophy is giving the girls the skills they need to do the job and playing them in the positions for which they are best suited. With Coach Brown not having a daughter on the team everyone knows that he is doing what is best for the team with no personal agenda except to advance each player to the next level for the team's best interest.

Coach Brown has a good support group in coaches with Denny Phillips, Brian Jennings and Charlie Earle. Each coach has a unique style and experience to offer, and under Coach Brown's direction were able to make an impact on the team's successes. Good hard practices as well as the clinics we attended also helped us achieve our goal of improving each and every player. The Alleycats plan on attending at minimum of 6 tournaments from Memorial Day to Nationals, and we will be going to Nationals. Nationals are an experience that all should see. There will be weekly practices through the fall, winter, and spring with a couple of tournaments in between. We will also be attending clinics.

Our sponsors were a big part of making this happen for several players therefore the team. With out them our season would not have been possible.

Anyone with an interest in joining and contributing to this organization, please contact Coach Brown at 570-247-7626, or email him at  brownie1@chilitech.net. Coach Brown would be happy to answer any questions you may have, direct you to Alleycat parents so that you can hear firsthand about their experiences on being a part of this terrific team.
