NOTE: EGLL Divisions are noted below.  The on-line registration has more granular versions (subsets) to help manage the ages that roll up to each division.   Placements for many are based on evaluations and there are no guarantees unless you are a returning majors player or fall in a non-eval division (TeeBall, Juniors, Coach Pitch etc).  As an example, if you have a league age 9 for baseball that played dedford coach pitch last year you would sign them up for AAA tryout.  That player may be placed in either AAA or AA.  All 12's are guaranteed Majors and 11's at least AAA for baseball.  They must however show up for evaluation during March.

EGLL boundaries
Baseball - East Greenwich Residents or Warwick Residents South of Division Street (i.e Pottowomut area)
Softball - East Greenwich Residents or Warwick Residents South of  Rt 117 to intersection of Post Road
Little League requires strict enforcement of boundaries.  Anyone outside of boundaries without appropriate waiver (prior proof of residency in EGLL boundaries) may not register
T-Ball is available for all children that will be 5 years old by April 30, 2010. 
Please note that there are no exceptions to this age qualification. 
NEW PLAYERS  Please provide a copy of the birth certificate when you attend the walk in..
 Registration Fees:                 $75 per child / $200 maximum per family
  
Scholarships are available to financially needy families.  No child will be denied the opportunity to play for financial reasons.  Please contact Jeff Santos at 884-3513 if you need more information about this program.  All inquiries and requests will be kept confidential.
 Baseball player’s age is determined as of April 30, 2010.
Softball player’s age is determined as of December 31, 2009.

Divisions of Play - Baseball
 T-Ball. Ages 5-6 (1st Year Player)
Dedford Coach Pitch Baseball, ages 6 – 7 (Age 6 with one year of T-Ball)
'A' Minors Baseball, ages 7-8 (selection  of age 7 done in 1st two weeks of season)
'AA' Minors Baseball, ages 8 –10 (age 8 eligible and picked based on tryout)
'AAA' Minors Baseball, ages 9-11 (age 9 and 10 eligible to be picked based on tryout)
Majors, ages 9-12 (all players picked based on try out - age 9 currently requires 1 year minor experience)
Junior/Senior  ages 13-16
Divisions of Play - Softball
 Dedford Coach Pitch Softball , ages 6 – 8 (Age 6 with one year of T-Ball)
Minors Softball, ages 8 –11 (age 8 with two years Dedford experience)
Majors Softball, ages 9-12 (age 9 with one year of minors experience)
Junior ages 13-15

 All boys and girls 5-16 years old should be encouraged to participate in the enjoyment of baseball and softball competition, regardless of abilities  
* Requirements for play at these ages are based on prior participation, one league level down.

Players must attend try-outs in the Minor, AA, AAA  & Major divisions of baseball and softball, which will be held in March 2010.  You will be notified about dates in February 2010.

Support URI Baseball and EGLL Alumni Brad Van Fechtmann by buying a raffle ticket to win season tickets to the Red Sox

The URI Baseball team will be conducting a fundraiser this year will raffle off 2 season tickets to the Boston Red Sox for their upcoming 2010 season. The seats are fantastic – they are in section 24, row 3, seats 17 and 18. The face value for the two tickets alone all year is over $8,000. A ticket for the raffle costs $100 .

Upcoming projects include an indoor hitting facility and stadium style bleachers. Understand that all of the money is going to URI baseball and will help a great deal. Raffle tickets are also tax deductible.
