June 23-30, 2012 - GFLL All Star Girls Softball Tournament - 8u, 10u 12u (Bantam, Minor and Majors).
July 12-23, 2012 - GFLL All Star Pepsi Tournament. Boys Baseball 10u & 12u (Minors and Majors).
News and Information
Rainout Notification to Players
On days where the weather is questionable, every attempt will be made to have a cancellation posted on this website early but a cancellation of games could be posted as late as 45 minutes prior to game time (and there may still a time that you arrive at the fields and find a weather related cancellation). Games can only be cancelled by the GFLL Director on Duty. Please check this website for game cancellations. If you do not see a cancellation at the top of this web page or if your coach has not contacted you then please show up at your assigned field.

Rainouts
All games that are rained out must be rescheduled ASAP and must be played during this season (get them done early in case rainouts continue). Coaches are responsible for rescheduling their own games. Contact your Division Director (see "Board Member" tab on the left) for open and available game slots (usually Saturday 6pm and Sundays). There is a copy of the master schedule in the book in the concession stand. For the Divisions that use umpires, the Division Director needs to advise Rob Girard of any rescheduled games so that an umpire can be assigned.
Concession Stand Volunteer Hours
Your Team has been assigned to work your volunteer hours in the concession stand. There must be at least 3 parents in the concession stand each night. Team coaches are responsible for insuring that their parents are aware of their assigned night and that they show up. Also, we have purchased a cash register for the concession stand. Please only adults should be handling money and giving change. Please see your Team's Concession Stand Duty time on the "Handout/Forms" tab on the left.

Bill Anderson Baseball Clinic - June 10

"Field of Dreams" night with the Golden Eagles
Coaches....bring your team to a Golden Eagles game for some great baseball and a chance to bond with their teammates off the field. Each GFLL ball player is admitted free (and parents and friends receive $2 General admission tickets). The players go onto the field for the National Anthem. They can then watch some great baseball, play in the bounce house, grab a snack and run (better yet walk) around with their teammates. These are the memories they will remember for years. Coach Training
Team Managers and Coaches, please click on the following link and register on the Little League Coaching Resource Center www.littleleaguecoach.org/home.aspx?article=514 and watch the short vidoes and read the training material from Little League International. This is necessary for all New Coaches, Tee ball Coaches, Bantam Coaches and for all other coaching levels wanting to fine tune their coaching skills. Remember, nobody was born a coach and we all should strive to improve our coaching abilities. Also, please also see the "Coach/Umpire Training" tab above for more resources.

GFLL Field Repair and Projects
We have several projects on our wish list or that we will be completing this season....Dugout Cement Pad repairs, Dugout Roof Leak repair, Equipment Shed Roof repair (underlayment and shingles), Construction of an informational sign along the walkway and a new Tee Ball field. If you know anyone that could donate materials or their expertise, please contact a Board member. Thank you for your help.

Parents and Coaches
Remember....let the Players play, let the Coaches coach and let the Umpires officiate. We all must follow the Code of Conduct and remember that we are setting examples for our children. Let's be sure to keep games in perspective and remember that the Coaches and Board Members are volunteering to bring all players a memorable Little League experience.

2012 Registration and Registration Fees
Tee Ball (age 4-6)* - $40
Bantam (age 7-8)* - $55
Minors (age 9-10)* - $55
Majors (age 11-12)* - $55
Seniors (age 13-15 Boys Only)* - $55
* Please see the Player Registration Form for age cutoff dates.
There is a $15 late fee for all applications received after 03/17/12.

Uniforms and Equipment
The League provides Team Shirts and a Hat (boys) or a Visor (girls).
All players are responsible for purchasing their own glove, cleats and baseball pants (girls Bantam, Minor and Major softball players do not wear baseball pants).
The coaches have bats available to use.
The coaches have helmets available (although most players elect to purchase their own).
Girls Bantam, Minor and Major Softball players must have a face shield on their helmets.
