GFLL Picture Day
Date : This Sunday 05/19/13.
Who : All GFLL “House” Teams (not the travel teams).
Where : The Yellow building by the East Field Pool.
Players : Wear your team shirt and hat.
Time : See the schedule on the "Handouts/Forms" tab to your left).
Arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled picture time.
Coaches -Pick up your Team’s Picture order forms at the concession stand and Distribute to your players this week.
Parking - There is parking onone side of Haskell Ave (the Police will come again if you park on both sides of Haskell Ave). Please consider parking in the East Field parking lot and walk over.

Concession Stand - Volunteer Duty(3 hour shift)
All Parents, if you did not pay $40 to "opt out" of concession duty or if you are not a sign/team sponsor or a coach, you must work a 3 hour time slot in the concession stand this season. Please sign up ASAP or you will have the $50 fee added to next years registration.

We are trying something new this year....instead of assigning a team to a particular night, parents can sign up to work any night of the week or on Saturdays (there are no designated "team" nights). Doing this will give you flexibility so that you are not scheduled to work on a night your child has a game. There are 2 easy ways you can sign up :
1. On the sign up poster that is hung up nightly from 5pm to 8pm on the Concession Stand exterior wall or

2. See the Concession Duty calendar on this website (to your left) and then email your Name, Phone number and Your choice of date and time to work to glensfallslittleleague@yahoo.com. We will add your name to the website calendar and to the calendar on this concession stand wall.

If you are new to the concession stand, the director on duty will "show you the ropes" when you arrive.

Girls Softball Pitching Clinic #2 
- Attendees - Any Minor or Major Softball Player interested in Pitching.
- Location - GFLL Field 3.
- Instructor - Brittney Sprague.
When - Sunday May 19th). CANCELLEDTime - 10am to 11am. CANCELLED- Cost:
- $5 /each if 8 or more pitchers attend.
- $10/each if 4 attend.
- $20/each if 2 attend.

If you have not recieved your box of fundraising candy yet, please email us at: glensfallslittleleague@yahoo.com and we will get it to you. If you received and sold your candy, please turn your candy money in at the concession stand.

Please turn in your fundraising Cup order forms by May 5 at the concession stand.

Thank you for your past and continued support. Due to your generous support, we do not need any more team sponsors for 2013. We are however, in need to sign sponsors for the 2013 seasonr. Please click on the "GFLL Sponsors" tab at the top left of this page for sponsor information and to view our 2012 sponsors.

You can still Register for the 2013 season.
A $15 late fee now applies. You can print a 2013 Registration form from the "Forms/Handout" tab on the left. Since most team drafts are done, please call Tim Guy or email glensfallslittleleague@yahoo.com to advise that you want to register a new player. We can then make arrangment for you to drop the application off or you can mail it in.

Coaches and Board Members
Thank you for volunteering your time and effort to operate the League and to coach the 450 children in our League. Without you, there would no Glens Falls Little League.

Coaches
Our goals for 2013 are :
1. Improve communication with you and ask that you in turn, maintain an appropriate level of comunication with your Players and with your Parents.
2. Help you strive to improve your coaching skills and abilities so that you can effectively teach all players the fundamentals of Teeball, Baseball and Softball.

Coach Training
Coaches, we want to assist you in improving your coaching abilities. In April 2013, we will be offering mandatory and optional coaching clinics. Please see the "GFLL Player/coaches Clinics" tab for details. Some clinic details are still being finalized.
Also, please register on the Little League Coaching Resource Center. You will recieve periodic emails from Little League International: www.littleleaguecoach.org/home.aspx?article=514.

Parents and Coaches
Please...we all must follow the code of conduct and remember that we are setting examples for our children. Let's be sure to keep games in perspective and remember to give the volunteer umpires and volunteer coaches a break so that we can all give our children a positive and memorable Little League experience.
