MISSION STATEMENT:

Glenn Dale Recreation Council is dedicated to providing safe and enjoyable recreational opportunities in which all children participate, regardless of skill level, and where focus is placed on children having fun, learning mutual respect, good sportsmanship and teamwork, as well as basic skills, strategies, and rules of a game.

This web page is dedicated to the players, parents, coaches,and others who are contributing to the success of our sports programs.

As of 4/19/2011, the Glenn Dale Rec Council will have monthly meetings the third Tuesday of every month at 7:30 p.m. Please come out and join us at our meetings!!

The season will start this spring on Saturday, March 17th 2012.  The first event will be the clinic which will be held for all ages at the Daisy Lane Field.  The registration age groups are as follows:

 5-7 year olds coed

8-10 year olds coed

11-12 year olds coed

13-16 year olds coed

16-17 year old (boys only - tryouts)

The clinic start times will be as follows on 3/17/2012:

 9:30a - 5-7 & 8-10 year olds

11:00a - 11-12, 13-16, 16-17 year olds

 This year (2011-2012) we have a new Soccer Commissioner, Courtney Souvenir, who can be reached via e-mail at coachc@thesouvenirs.net.  All of the Glenn Dale Recreation Council members are volunteers, please step in and help when you can.

In general, we will stick to the practice/game schedule unless there is thunder and lightening in the area at the time of the event or a soaking rain.  Please check the website for updates as late as 2 hours before practice/game start times to get the decision.
