Summer 2009/Camp Updates
Summer Soccer 2009! All Games for Thursday are going ahead! U11 Boys/U14 Boys Camp next week from July 6-10! Space is limited! Summer 2009 schedules now available on our website in the "Handouts" Section! Late Registration: Ongoing GKSA Office (Back Entrance of Goulds Library Bldg) Please note that a late fee of $10 will apply. . As of the close of regular registration, the U4, U6, U8 Boys divisions were FULL, with other age groups filling up quickly (only a few spots remaining forU8 Girls). . If you are interested in having your child play soccer this summer, please register at your earliest convenience. . Recreational Program! Day Camps! Parent-Tot Program! Metro League Community Teams! Recreational Program: • Open to children in U4 to U16 divisions (born 1993-2005) • 10 weeks: June 29—Sept 4 • Two weeknight games per week • Cost: $50 per child • Late registration fee of $10.00 per child, per family after May 17 • All players receive a t-shirt & medal • Timbits Jamboree — Aug 15 • Super Soccer Saturday — Sept 12 • Parent Rotation Coaches Needed! • Program may be modified depending on registration numbers and availability of facilities • Registration required to participate on Community Teams in Metro . Day Camps: U6-U14 divisions—Schedule below Outdoor venue– Eric Williams Pitch Rainy days– St. Kevin’s Jr. High Instruction provided 9am-4pm Supervised early drop off at 8:30 am & late pick-up at 5:00 pm Cost: $60 per week June 29-July 3: U6/U8 Boys & Girls July 6-10: U11 Boys/U14 Boys July 13-17: U11 Girls/U14 Girls July 20-24: U6/U8 Boys & Girls July 27-31: U11 Boys/U14 Boys August 3-7: U11 Girls/U14 Girls August 10-14: U6/U8 Boys & Girls August 17-21: U11 Girls/U14 Girls August 24-28: U11Boys/U14 Boys . Community Teams: Again this summer, children in U10, U12, U14 &U16 divisions have the opportunity to represent Goulds in the Metro League and in various mega-tournaments throughout the summer. These are competitive teams for players who show commitment to the team. Preference is first given to those children who are the older in their age division. Registration in the recreational soccer program is required (for insurance purposes). Games and practices are in addition to the recreational program. Games are played on several weekends throughout the summer. Commitment & availability are essential for the success of this program, but the fun, teamwork, and skill development are the reward. More information will be distributed when the season begins, but Mega Tournament dates have already been posted on the GKSA website. Cost: $100; $50 refunded upon return of uniform.
