To be eligible to play on the 97-98 team the players birthday has to be on or after August 1, 1997.
We will field two teams. There will be a development team and a competitive travel team.
The Development team will play in the SAC rec. level "A" league with a purpose of developing a player in new positions and giving them the opportunity to improve skills and performance. Players will receive a very high amount of playing time and are expected to take chances.
The travel team will play in the Baltimore Beltway Soccer League BBSL which holds game from September through mid-November. This league will be played with players in their strongest positions and is geared for the player ready to take on a high level of competition.
All players will be playing @ SoccerDome for our winter session.
My coaching philosophy is to expose your daughter to a higher level of play, further develop her soccer skills, life skills, and instill good sportsmanship, all while having fun and building friendships with her team mates.
We are competitive however, we are NOT a "Win at all cost" team. My season objectives are focused on player development, team work, & FUN!
We ask for a time commitment of two practice sessions per week (typically lasting approximately 1 1/2 hours each session) and one weekend game in the Fall(this could be two games if a players is on both the "development team" and "travel team" rosters). There is also a financial commitment $175 to $225 to cover uniforms, referee fees, indoor field fees, etc. The Winter games may be scheduled on a weeknight or weekend and we are pursuing sponsors to offset some of these costs.
