Admiring your site. Congrats to the Girard Majors All Star team and coaches for a fine season. You have a great group of classy team members, coaches, and parents. Thanks for the kind words of encouragement Coach Derek Delatte. JPRD-East Dixie Youth I know you are proud of this group.

Hit the send button too early in nte previous post...
I was saying that the GREAT thing about the website is that it can keep people informed and up to date with projects and issues and people cannot complain that they're being left in the dark.
Have considerable experience in booster clubs (was president at Girard for at least13 years). Main 'complaint' when you try to involve parents is that the 'clique' at (here insert playground name) is controlling and won't allow us to be involved.
We all know that its a bunch of hooey. You at least provide information and an inviation to join the people who do the extra things around the park. Your child's experience is the reward - get in and get your hands dirty helping out.
A suggestion - when kids sign up get parents' email addresses and provided a short email flyer that goes out on a reguar basis. Build a database of potential helpers this way. |
