DIMENSIONS-The yard measures 320ft down the left and right field lines, 379ft to the left-center gap, 376ft to the right-center gap, and 400ft to straight away centerfield.
ROUGHRIDER STADUIM AT VOLUNTEER PARK was built in 1990 and received it's name because of the generous volunteers who helped build and fund the field; as well as the numerous volunteers who maintain the field year in and year out.
NEW FOR 2013- In the fall of 2012, the infield received a complete makeover. Academy Sports Turf from Englewood Colorado, installed new state of the art field turf across the entire infield, including the batters boxes. The entire warning track was also turfed. Finally, a NCAA approved turf mound rounds out the beautiful infield, making this field like none others in the region. This playing surface makes Roughrider Stadium one of the top fields in the country.
Roughrider Stadium also features: grandstand seating, a giant inning by inning scoreboard with Riders arch, lighting, turfed home/visitor cages, bullpens, concession stand, pressbox, team clubhouse. Also recently added is a new 60x120 ft indoor hitting/pitching facility. The building is fully turfed and has indoor cages and pitching mounds. All of these qualities make it one of the top fields in Wyoming and surrounding areas.
