Position: Head Coach (Riders)
Profile: Riders Manager Nate Perleberg just finished his 8th season as Gillette's head coach. In eight seasons, Perleberg has compiled a .640 winning percentage with a 375-211 overall record. Last season, the Riders finished with a 30-43 overall record and a 5th place finish at the State Tournament. In 2008 Perleberg led the Riders to their first ever State Championship, including an amazing 51-11 overall record. The Championship earned the Riders their first ever Regional appearance and were among the final 64 teams in the nation. They went 1-2 in the 2008 Regional at Bozeman, MT. He has led the team to State Runner Up finishes in 2007, 2009, 2010, and 2011. His 2007 team set an all-time record for wins with (53). Under Perleberg, the Riders have also won the State Sportmanship Award in 2006 and 2012.

Perleberg's goal is to develop a class-act, winning tradition in Gillette baseball. "We want to be recognized as one of the top programs in the area year in and year out. Our program is centered around hard-work, respect, teamwork, and dedication. We expect our players to work very hard, be committed to what we do, and have very high expectations year in and year out."

Under Perleberg's direction, the program has grown from two teams in 2006 to now four teams in 2013. "The Riders, Rustlers, Prep, and JR Riders, ensure that our program will continue to offer a high caliber of competitive baseball to our youth."

One of his proudest accomplishments in his eight years is having 27 players move on to play college baseball in just seven seasons, as well as 2 players drafted professionally. "To have this many players provided the opportunity to go on and play, shows the quality of individuals that we have in our program. I've been blessed to have the opportunity to coach such great individuals the past few seasons, who sacrifice so much for this program."

In the off-season Perleberg teaches 5th grade at Paintbrush Elementary in Gillette. He also serves as an associate scout for the Toronto Blue Jays. He is married to his beautiful bride Shaely.
