Greetings;
I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the Gibbstown Football/Cheerleading Association and to provide you with information about our Association.
The Gibbstown Football/Cheerleading Association is a non-profit organization that is run by a committee. The Committee Members are voted on by the Association and meet bi-monthly during the playing season and monthly during the off season. Meetings are held in the Field House at 8 PM on the 1st and 3rd Tuesday during the playing season and the 3rd Tuesday during the off season.
We are a member of the Tri-County Midget Football League, which has been in existence for over 50 years. Our Association is divided by age as of October 1st of the current playing year. Each group is coached in techniques from basic to advanced. We encourage the boys and girls to play with good sportsmanship, respect and loyalty.
5 Yrs old are considered developmental and participate with the 6-7 yr old,
but are only permitted to participate in "B" games.
6-7 yrs old are considered Freshman
8-9 yrs old are considered Sophomores
10 -11 yrs old are considered Juniors
12 – 14 yrs old are considered Seniors
Along with the hard work from the Board Members and Sponsors, we could not exist without Fundraisers, so Please support your children. Also help is always welcome and needed to work the Concession Stand, Chain Crew and a variety of other jobs.
We take pride in Our Association and want the children to be proud to be a part of a great Association. If you have any questions, concerns, comments, want to volunteer please feel free to contact me.
