GREATER HARTFORD TWILIGHT LEAGUE

2011 Banquet

Our banquet was held at Adams Mill in Manchester, Ct. 1/7.  It was an enjoyable night for all.  In addition to our normal awards, we gave out an award for Player of the Decade, the first ever for the Twilight League.  In order to determine the winner, we reviewed our records for the past decade which included batting average, any awards  the players got as well as leaders in all categories.  Our winner was Brett Burnham.  The decision was easy as nobody else with his playing time came close and there were many talented players over the years.  Brett was presented the award by his brother Gary.  His wife, mother, uncle and grandmother were also present. It was a well deserved award and the twilight league is proud to have an individual such as Brett as a player in our league.

CONGRATULATIONS FERGUSON. PLAYOFF CHAMPIONS BY WAY OF DEFEATING PEOPLE UNITED 6-2 IN FINALS AT MCKENNA FIELD

 

CONGRATULATIONS TO FOSS INSURANCE AND PEOPLES UNITED FOR  BEING CO- CHAMPIONS FOR THE 2011 SEASON.  BOTH FINISHED WITH A RECORD OF 20-7.  BOTH TEAMS ARE WELL DESERVING OF THE TITLE.  IT WAS A GREAT YEAR FOR BOTH TEAMS.
