GREEN HILLS GIRLS SOFTBALL LEAGUE: Welcome

The Green Hills Girls Softball League (GHGSL) is open to all girls in and around the Nashville, Tennessee area from Kindergarten through 7th grade. Signups for spring will begin January  15th. The season is scheduled to begin in early April and go through the end of May. You may register online after Janunary 15th or print the registration form on the Forms page and mail it in. Please note that there is a small additional fee for online registration. 

Sign up day for in-person registration and uniform sizing will be Sunday, February 5th from 1:00-3:00 pm at David Lipscomb Elementary School cafeteria (located on Granny White Pike near Harding Place). This is the best way to assure correct fitting uniforms. Registration forms will be accepted up until uniforms are ordered, which will be approximately March 15th. However, early registration is strongly recommended. Once teams are full, late comers will have to be placed on a waiting list. 

League play for the 2012 season will begin the week of April 9th and conclude by Memorial Day.  Teams usually play twice weekly.  Games are scheduled weekdays at 5:15 or 6:20 p.m.  with rainouts on weekends.  Practice schedules are set by each team's coach and usually begin just before or after spring break.

The Green Hills Girls Softball League has over30 years experience providing fast pitch softball for young ladies. Our league is divided by school grades into three divisions for recreational play:

• Coach Pitch (K-2)
• Minor League (3-4)
• Major League (5-7)

GHGSL plays by fast pitch rules and is open for single players, whole teams, or partial teams. Most players are able to play with school mates and friends. Games are played at Green Hills Park, next to J.T. Moore Middle School. League photographs will be made by Sports Photo this year. Team and individual pictures will be made the first two weeks in the season and will be scheduled by the coach for each team. An example of photos and packages can be found at www.sportsphoto30.com.
