GGASA is not condusive to the expansion/growth of youth softball players.   This stems from the board that currently resides over the league.   In the last 3 years, registration of the league has been on a steady decline.  In 2007, the recball registration for number of teams was about 22, and now in 2009, the registration was so low, <10 teams total, that the league has ended up interleaguing with 2 other surrounding leagues just to be able to provide play to the girls.   Its unfortunate that the league has a few key personnel on the board that continually year after year, drive the league into oblivion.   The league originally was founded back in the early 70's, and was at one time, the premier league in southern california.   Continual election of board members that treat the league like its a personal business for themselves rather than remembering its for the girls has caused this situation.

I hope at some point before the league dies, that the board members realize what it is they are doing, and resign from their positions allowing qualified people to be placed there.
