Fri., 6/1 - Adams County is now under a tornado watch until 9pm tonight.

All HOME games are still on for right now...  however, ANY rain at all will cause all home games to be postponed today.  So stay tuned!

Ken Hassinger, Phil Cosden, Carl Tempel and other volunteers are working on the fields right now (2:15pm) to try to get them in playable condition.

For tonight, Managers are responsible for getting their field lined prior to their game & raking the infield after their game to eliminate any and all ruts.

Whether or not these games happen, THANK YOU to all the volunteers working hard so our kids can play!

- sunflower seeds & dirt can be found everywhere…in pants pockets, inside the washing machine, all over the vehicle…

The cancellations / game time decisions are due to tonight's forecasted rain.

Due to standing water on some fields, the following changes have been made to today's games:

Gettysburg Little League is looking for someone (or two people) to take over the snack bar responsibilities for the 2013 season.

Maria Myers has been handling the snack bar for the past 6 seasons and she will be resigning the position next season.   However, she would be more than willing to answer your questions and work with the person (or 2) that wants to take this great money-maker over for GLL.

This would be a GREAT opportunity to shadow and learn from Maria as she goes about these duties!

The main responsibilities include: stocking the snack bar, working with Team Moms to get volunteers (truly, volunteers are NOT a problem to get), and making weekly deposits.

Registration for our April 29th Golf Tournament has been EXTENDED!

We're in NEED of more golfers to make this fundraiser event successful!

If we raise enough with this event, we won't have to do other fundraisers.

PLEASE HELP SPREAD THE WORD TO RECRUIT GOLFERS AND SPONSORS!

 Anyone is welcome to play!  Friends, family, neighbors, co-workers, etc.

Don't have a group?  Don't worry!  Register as an individual and we'll place you with a group.

Our sincere THANKS goes out to ALL the volunteers who came out to help us during a damp Field Day yesterday!

Lots of weeding & raking around the fences & dugouts, as well as painting got done and it looks great!

Field Day is still on - Rain Or Shine - for TOMORROW, Sat., March 31st at 10am at the Rec. Park!

If anyone attending could bring any equipment to use - rakes, brooms, painting equipment (rollers for cinder block walls, brushes, buckets, trays, etc.) or anything else that could help, it would be VERY appreciated!

We'll get done as much as the weather will allow.  THANK YOU!

There's LOTS to do to get our fields ready for the spring season and Opening Day!

We hope we can count on YOU to help with our annual FIELD DAY!

Our Opening Day is dedicated to honoring and acknowledging every player, Manager and Coach and celebrating the beginning of our season!

It will be on Big Field #1 with the Press Box at 10am on April 14th.  Players should attend in their uniforms for the celebration.

If anyone is considering purchasing a bat as a gift for a GLL player, please consult this announcement first.
